Secretary of State Jesse White’s Office to hold Organ/Tissue Donor Drive at Camargo Township District Library
DRIVE DATE: May 23, 2019
A Regional Coordinator from Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White’s Organ/Tissue Donor Program will be at the Camargo Township District Library on Thursday May 23, 2019 to provide information about the state’s Organ/Tissue Donor Registry and advocate for those in attendance to become part of this live-changing program. The drive will be held from 2:30-3:30.
Currently, there are approximately 4,700 people in Illinois who are waiting for lifesaving transplants. Nationally, more than 114,000 are on the waiting list. Sadly, 300 Illinoisans die each year due to a shortage of organs. One organ donor can help improve the quality of life for up to 25 individuals.
Please visit the library on Thursday May 23, 2019 for additional information about organ/tissue donation and to join the registry.
If you have any questions, you may contact Jackie Wells at the library or visit the Secretary of State’s website at www.lifegoeson.com. For additional information from the department, please contact Samantha Brill at firstname.lastname@example.org or 217-558-1322.
