With the rise of interest in aromatherapy and essential oils, the Camargo Township District Library is very excited to host this class on Saturday, September 30 from 10:00 am-Noon. Sara Holmes has kindly partnered with the library to educate folks on the benefits of essential oils.
Sara is not only a Certified and Registered Aromatherapist but an author as well. Her books include Mimi’s Scented Garden, which introduces children to the wonders of aromatic plants and aromatherapy, and her new book A Fragrant Memory: Aromatherapy and Natural Therapy Support for Grief and Loss, which provides information on how others can use aromatherapy and other natural therapies for healing.
Sara Holmes is the owner and principal therapist of Botanical Healing Arts LLC in Tuscola, IL and Sara’s Sanctuary at Lake Sara in Effingham, IL. She graduated with a BS in Organizational Management from Greenville College after originally studying nursing. She is currently a Certified and Registered Aromatherapist as well as a Licensed Massage Therapist. I consider myself an Integrative Therapist because I use essential oils, massage, meditation, and energy work for healing body, mind and spirit.
Sara was an instructor at Parkland College in Champaign, IL for 12 years, teaching Aromatherapy, Massage, and Complementary Therapies for Healthcare. She was also the coordinator for the Whole Health Advisory Board for Parkland College. Sara retired from Parkland in Fall 2017.
She is a proud professional member of the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy and The Alliance of International Aromatherapists. She and her husband Chuck live in Tuscola, IL where they enjoy nature with their four children and grandchildren.
